Our region has long-standing and historical traditions, herring fishing for more than 100 years, and knowledge passed down from generation to generation. Prima Seafood is a modern fish processing company specializing in the distribution and freezing of pelagic fish. The factory is located in Egersund, one of Norway’s main fishing ports along the southern part of the coast in Rogaland. We deliver superior products worldwide through meticulous quality control, sustainable fishing and outstanding fishing grounds right outside our factory doors.
Egersund harbour
Egersund is a small town in the southwest of Norway, but nevertheless one of Norway’s largest and most important ports measured in landed fish, for more than a century. This town has always been – and still is – a major producer of matjes herring. Prima Seafood is able to process 500 tons of fish a day.
